It's been a while since I have blogged. I have been in a funk the past few weeks and didn't think it would be a good idea to air all of those thoughts. I wouldn't say that I am cured, but I definately feel better. "Momma said there'd be days like this."

Sadie started her new adventures in elementary school. She is about to get settled in. She enjoys school. We have now started fall ball, but it is not as hectic as the regular season. I like that she has an outlet.

Sophie is starting to pee pee in the potty. She has good days and bad days. She is way excited when she does it though. I reward her with a sucker each time she is successful. I'm not saying that is proper parenting, she will probably lose all of her baby teeth by the time she is potty trained, but she likes the treat and it seems to be working some of the time. Sometimes she says she needs to go potty just to try to get a sucker. I don't give in though. No pee pee...No sucker. A good point that I might add is that she also loves to brush her teeth. Maybe her teeth will be survive.

We have had some minor medical drama the last few weeks. Sophie had a scrape on her knee that resulted in the whole family in the emergency room when it got infected and developed staph in it. I don't know if it traumatized Sophie more or Sadie. Sophie is fully recovered now. Well, her knee is anyway. She will never be comfortable with doctors again though.

Sadie came home this week with an ear infection. She has always had problems with her ears, but it seems that summers are worse for her. I contribute it to swimming. She is currently on antibiotics to cure the infection. The doctor gave her capsules. That is very interesting and amusing to watch her try to swallow a capsule three times a day. It takes four or five times before it goes down.

I'm looking forward to my upcoming days off and dreading my graveyards next week. My job is very rewarding at times and very trying at times. I guess I can say that about many things. Life is so.
