The beginning of the Corona Virus of 2020.
Sadie was the first one to get out of school.
The first case in Arkansas was on March 11th.  The following Tuesday, she got an email that said you have to be off campus by tomorrow and we will notify you when you can return.
Her senior year in college.  Lots going on.  Lots to do.  Suddenly the brakes are put on.
She was sad.

By the following Monday, Sophie and Molly were out of school too.
They were a little excited at first.  No school!

I tried to make the situation a little lighter for them.
Home rules are when school is out for the summer, you always have a few chores to do before you do absolutely nothing.
They still had school work to do but I wanted them to be productive as well.
I left this note on the bar for fun.

Sophie's poem about being Quarantined was fun.

Molly's song about Corona Virus was hilarious.

Sadie's letter to her pretend boyfriend, Covid19, was pretty witty.

They have all struggled a little in their own ways with this.
We are all trying to adjust.
However, we have had fun too.

Molly even commented one night at bedtime that maybe this is what God wanted was for us to spend more time together as a family.

Sophie has been working hard on sharing the gospel.  She is planning on going on a mission trip to New Orleans for spring break and she is way excited about it.
She came home and showed me what she had been learning and the 3 circles.
It makes me proud.

She is rocking her senior year, her pledge mistress stuff, her classes, her papers, her friendships, her  life.

She may not have it all figured out yet, but it makes me proud.

These girls are growing in their faith.  I can see it.  That is when it is real when someone else can see it and I can truly see it in each one of them.
It makes me really proud.

Molly made it to the finals in the spelling bee.  There were two rounds at the primary school with other 3rd graders.  The finals were at the elementary school with 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
Molly made it through the first few rounds and she was kicked out with the word brayed.  (Like a donkey noise...she spelled it like a hair braid!.) She was so upset about it.
She made it a long way and it makes me so proud!

Sadie started teaching gymnastics on Tuesdays and Thursdays at home.  I win because I got to see her two times a week.  Score!!

We celebrated Molly's birthday.

The big 9 years old.  I have tried and tried to get her to stop.
She won't.
She loves having birthdays.

She also keeps promising me that she will always be my baby no matter how old she is.

Random things of the start of 2020

Sadie started off the year with a minor little medical procedure.  Twice.
Ingrown toenails suck.
A little advise for people that do take my advise... if you get ingrown toenails, it is a good idea to stay on top of them and keep them trimmed out frequently.  If you let them go and they get nasty and infected, then you have to have them cut out and I think that is pretty yuck.
Both big toes done.  Weeks apart.
Except she did come home and stay and I got to take care of her.

Sage and Sophie hanging out at our house or hers.  They have spent lots of time together.

Sophie even got to work in the chicken houses with Sage.
This made me laugh and made me happy.

Molly had lots of lunch dates with her Dad.  He would take her to lunch to be able to see her a little during the week.
(Sophie didn't have enough time at lunch to leave, so he would take lunch to her periodically.)

Rodeos at Texarkana with Sage.

Molly's obsession with the McBride twins on the basketball court.  She got it arrange to actually meet them and have her picture taken with them.  She absolutely loves them and calls them "her boys."
Her love of basketball games increased when they came to town.

Random dinner dates with my girl.

Tiger Tunes 2019

MeMe finally got to come to a Tiger Tunes show.  She said she loved it!!

This will be Sadie's last performance.  It was sad for me.

It is a lot of work.  Every single year, she wears herself out.  She frets.  She stresses.  She gets no sleep.  She cries.  At the same time, she beams when you mention Tunes.  She gets so excited about Tunes reveal.  She loves getting dressed up.  She loves the theatrical performance.  She remembers every song in the show, not just her part.  She is going to miss this next year, even if she doesn't realize it now.

Sophie was excited because she got to see Josh.  Well actually she cried first because she didn't think she was going to be able to because we couldn't find him.  Then she called him and he met her at the car before we left.  She has always like him.  He's a good friend to Sadie and he always treats Sophie like she's important.

Here are some pictures of my sweet girl in action:

Back to school is in full swing.

At first it is hard to get into the routine.  Molly is loving 3rd grade and her teacher, Mrs. Schwope.
Sophie is loving being the top dog at junior high and being a freshman.

We went to the Back to School Bash.  Sophie had to appear with the golf team as they were recognized for their District Championship.

Sophie finally got involved and participated in all the freshman spirit days.  They had a special day every Thursday for football game days.  She and Sage have become really close and they have been slaying the dress up days!

Sadie got nominated for Homecoming.  The nomination in itself is quite an honor.
She didn't make the court and she was fine with that.

Molly was selected as Scrapper of the month.
As a result of the award, she got to have lunch at her own table.  We were invited to come eat with her and we did.

Molly and Ava have been friends for a long time.  They love Scrapper Fridays!

Sophie and Sage love Scrapper days too!!

Molly got the Citizenship Award this month.  I'm not absolutely sure what the criteria is for the Citizenship Award, but I know she tries so very hard.  She has loads and loads of drama with some of the girls in her class.  It really bothers her and she talks about it a lot.  (I hate girl drama!! Almost as much as boy drama.)  I hope to be able to lead her through it or at least pray her through it.  Regardless, someone thought that she has been a good citizen, which makes me happy.  Mrs. Schwope brags about her.  She is doing well in 3rd grade and I am super proud of her.  Being a good citizen is something to strive for.

We got off to a late start with school shopping, so we had to go back after school started.

I'm not a shopping girl, but it makes it a whole lot more fun when you have fun, sweet, beautiful people to go with you!

College Senior Sadie got herself an on-campus apartment.  I didn't really know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised when we went to help her move in.

She gets to live by herself in the cutest one bedroom apartment ever!

MeMe came to help us move, of course.  She's always a big help and makes everything fun.

We had to move half of her things from our house because she brought most of her stuff home when school was out.  She spent this summer in Little Rock working at Peds, so she had some of her stuff there.  So there were two places to have to move her from.

We left Sadie with a few little things to finish up but I think she was very pleased with how her little space was turning out.

I am happy happy for her but super sad that this is one step closer to her being out of my house as my little girl.  I have had her under my wing for 20 years.  How do you even do life when she has her very own and it's different from mine?
It's going to take lots of prayers.  I miss her.

August brought some fun times.  MeMe's birthday is always something to celebrate.
We had a birthday party at Trisha's for her birthday this year.

We had a girls' night at Lois' house.  We couldn't go out of town because Larry got a new job and went to nights.  I couldn't leave town because I didn't want to leave the girls.
We had fun just hanging out on the back porch.

Sometimes you have to focus on the little things that make life wonderful.  Sometimes those little times just get lost in the big moments.  Sometimes you just need to get random pictures from a teacher friend of your little sweet one on the playground at Primary School.

Sophie, and the golf team, got invited to the school board meeting.  This was the first school board meeting I had ever attended too.  She is sad that golf is over.  Basketball practice has started and she said that she would quit basketball if she could just play golf year round.

Sadie is getting into her senior year.  She is sooo busy.  She lives by a planner and it is filled by times, like an appointment book.  I am glad she is involved.  I am glad that she is having fun.  I am glad that she sends me pictures every now and then.  This is her EEE seniors and there start of their senior year.
