Pet Peeves

I don't know why they call them pet peeves. I think that in itself is irritating to me. But I guess I do have a few. Everyone has them and it's funny how minor some things are to some people and how the very same thing could drive someone insane.

1. I know that number one on my list would have to be smacking, slurping, chomping ice, etc.....anything that has to do with items going in the mouth and the noises that some people can make putting them in there to start the digestion process. Absolutely drives me batty.

2. I do not like dogs or cats licking me. I realize that some people think of that as kisses from their dear loyal pets. I love kisses! But not from the mouth of anything that licks themselves continuously. No thanks.

3. It really irritates me to hear a kid whine...especially my own. And it's even worse for an adult to whine. You can express your feelings without changing your voice to an irritating shrill.


Once I started getting into this I realized I have many pet peeves. Some of them even have names like Billy! I guess I will stop at those for now because they are the ones that were at the top of the list. Besides, if I keep going...it will sound like I'm whining!
