Update on the quilt:
I got all of the "flowers" sewn together. I ended up with 99 flowers total. I put them together in rows and then sewed those together to make strips like this.

Then I have started sewing the strips together that will be the face of the quilt. This is where I had the decisions to make. I wanted to use only sacred baby Diane material and nothing modern from the store for the face of the quilt. But I am going to have to improvise somewhere because I wanted it to be a little larger that a lap quilt. I am thinking that maybe if I applique this arrangement, when it's finished of course, to a solid eggshell colored fabric then it will frame the "important part" of the quilt. What do you think? Yes or no?
Regardless, I think it is going to be pretty. And special. And unique. Just imagine how each of those flowers will just pop out when they are quilted. It's getting closer!
