What have I been doing?

Well, I have been a busy bee lately---

I have attended more funerals in the past couple of months than I have in my entire life it seems. Makes a girl think about life and death more.
The annual trip to New Orleans was fun, only I didn't get to go. I heard it was fun though. As you can see, there is something missing from the picture below.......ME!

Diane came over one evening and made blankets with Sadie. They made one for Sadie, but somehow I didn't ever get a picture of the finshed product. It was beautiful and warm. It is blue and blue, her favorite colors.

Sophie loved her blanket that Sadie and Diane made her. She was mad that they wouldn't let her in to assist. But you can tell, she is proud of it.

Sadie and Sophie are doing well. Sadie has been having lots of questions about death and dying too. I told you it made a girl think!! But life is moving right along and I am really proud of my two girls.
We have a new stray dog that has decided to visit at our house for a while. It really is crazy how various dogs will show up for a day or two or three and then just leave as sudden as they show up. What is funnier is that Sophie names them and plays with them until they decide to go. This week a little white dog was there when we got home one day. He has a rabies tag, but there's no name anywhere on him. Sophie named him Stranger.

The storm that came through last week was scary. I did get a good shot of the lightening before the storm hit. Amazingly beautiful.

The damage after the storm was jaw dropping to me. I was not scared before or during the storm. And I usually am scared and "watchful."

The fact that I wasn't scared is what scares me most. I think I should have known something was brewing to do this kind of damage this close to my house.

And of course I try to squeeze in some golf every chance I get. Larry and I went to Idabel last weekend. I have a couple of tournaments scheduled there this year that I am looking forward to.

My "swing coach" helped me work on my iron shots. And my "putting coach" got me a new itsy bitsy spider putter, just like his. I don't know what I would do without him!

I am still shooting right around 100. I've only broke 100 a couple of times, but it's getting there!Beautiful day. Great fun. Can't wait for summer!!

I have thought about you so much lately! Death is so hard to understand, even at 35. I was so sorry to hear about your Mamaw's death & hope you got my card. I know it won't be long before my Mamaw dies - Mother's death has taken a toll on her. I do love you and know you're so strong; just hang in there.
