Here is my recipe for Frito Salad, per Krisit's request. I love this salad and remember having it for Thanksgiving at Grammy's growing up. I looked forward to it every year. It is still a favorite and I request it (or make it) frequently at family dinners.
1 bag of Fritos
1 lb. hamburger meat (browned and drained)
lettuce (chopped)
tomato (diced)
green onions (diced)
ranch style beans (drained and rinsed)
black olives (sliced)
shredded cheese
1 bottle of French salad dressing
Brown ground meat, drain. [I actually rinse the meat so there is no greasy film in my salad.] Set aside to cool.
In large bowl add chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced green onions and sliced black olives. These amounts depend on how much of each you like in a salad. Add shredded cheese and clean ranch style beans. Add ground beef. Toss until well mixed.
Add bag of Fritos and bottle of French dressing. Toss until well mixed. [Do not add your fritos and salad dressing until ready to serve.]
This makes a huge bowl of salad. It is delicious but becomes soggy after a while. You could divide the salad in half before you add the chips and dressing, refrigerate, and make it for two nights.

I meant to leave my comment here but I go so excited when I saw Trisha's kids that I left it under that post. I am excited about finally having THE recipe!
Love you!
