Happy First Birthday to Molly Addison!
What a fast year this has been. I feel like there is no way that this precious little jewel has been in our lives for a year, but at the same time, it feels like she has been with us forever. She is such a good baby and has been since the day she came into this world. She is truly a gift from God.
At 12 months old, Molly is walking, or wobbling, around the house. She is sleeping in her own bed, which she has since she came home. She loves to play with her big sisters and laughs at them hysterically. There is no "holding" Molly. She is too busy for that. She wants to explore and roam around on her own. She still sits in her bouncy seat in the mornings while I am getting dressed, but the time frame is getting shorter for how long she just sits. I don't know how I will get dressed in the mornings when she won't sit in her seat. She is constantly opening drawers and cabinets. She doesn't get anything out, she just loves the sounds they make.
She is drinking out of a sippy cup instead of a bottle. We switched to real milk last week and she is loving that. She loves to eat!! She is mostly eating table food now and will eat just about anything. She has four teeth. Two at the top and two at the bottom.
Her personality is developing every day. She can say "da-da." She can wave bye. She can give you kisses, although she is pretty stingy with them. She can clap and say "yay." She dances to music if it is a song that is upbeat. She loves to play peek-a-boo. When you say, "Where's Molly?" she covers her face, well actually is more like her ears because she has to see you. She knows what no means. Sometimes no stops her, but sometimes she just looks at you and smiles and goes on with her agenda. She still has not said "momma." She hasn't even tried to say it to tease me with it. Sometimes I swear she is doing it on purpose because of the way she responds "da-da" when I repeat "momma" over and over.
This sweet little girl has changed all of our lives and completed our family. We are so proud of her and love her so much. I am enjoying watching her grow and I love her happiness.
