This Easter we broke tradition.  We didn't travel.  We didn't get together with all the family.  We just spent Easter together as a small family.  I missed seeing everyone and the big egg hunts that we usually did for the kids, but it turned out okay.

Thursday evening we went to the Easter Cantata at church.  Larry had a role in the "skit."  He was James and he sat at the table with Jesus for the Lord's Supper.  Molly thought she had to sing every time the choir sang, which was sweet sounds to my ears.  She even made a few joyful noises when every one had their heads bowed, which wasn't so sweet to my ears.

She wasn't just awful during the Cantata, but I was worn out from wrestling her when we got home.  She is usually playing and running around in the nursery during church and wasn't fond of sitting quietly and being attentive.

The little girls hunted eggs at church Sunday morning.  Sadie is once again too big for these things that I have watched her do for years.  Sometimes I really forget that she is growing up.  I just expect her to be the same little girl that loves kid things.

Our Sunday School class helped with the Easter Egg hunt.  We hid the eggs for the big little kids and supervised while they frolicked around picking them up.  It started to drizzle just as we were finishing up.

Molly's class hunted eggs in the fenced in play area.  She was not very interested in finding eggs.  She was too interested in watching the big kids run crazy outside of the fence.

She did stand still long enough for a picture.  Mrs. Julie had to snap it fast though because she was on a mission.
