Friday we surprised Sadie with a Brand-Used Car!! I had convinced myself that I was going to wait until Sadie's birthday to get her a car. I had convinced Sadie that she was going to get Larry's truck on her birthday. She did not like either idea, but she had syked herself up for both. So, it was a total shock to her.
She is excited! She said it is totally perfect and it fits her so well. She is in love with it and can't wait to drive it to school.
We took it for a spin around town, Sadie, Sophie, and me. Sadie told Sophie that she could take her to school in the mornings when she gets her hardship license. Sophie said, "Nah, I think I'll just ride with Dad." I know she will change her mind, but I had to laugh at her little honest self.
Sophie was a little excited about it too. She had to get inside and check out all the buttons and stuff. Sophie approved.
Molly wouldn't pose with the big girls because she had to get in and see if the music worked. You can see her tiny little head inside the car in this picture. She didn't want to get out. This was right before she locked the doors. Luckily, Sadie had the key in her hand.
Here are the little divas and what it will look like soon when they drive away to town without me. I will cry. They will laugh at me. I will pray for their safety more than ever.
There will be a rule that all body parts must stay inside the vehicle. But parked in the driveway with the car in park and the keys out, this sums up the love and attitude that these two share. I'm quite sure there are not two other just like them.
After the Brand-Used Car excitement, we had to get ready for the Back to School Bash. It was Sadie's first public cheer event. She was so excited until she got dressed, then she was scared to death.
Before we left, we had to take the time and get some pictures of the real cheerleader and her little sisters that look up to her so much.
Molly was all dressed too, but would not cooperate at first. She was too busy riding her bike and would not get off and participate.
We finally talked her into it. We could have bribed her a little bit. But whatever works, right?
I can not express the love that I have for these girls. They are all precious in the their own way. They are all loving and sweet and smart and fun, yet they are all so different. I love that about them too. I'm quite sure there are not three other just like them. They all aggravate each other, and sometimes me too, but they have deep love for each other.
What I didn't realize until the scrimmage was how proud Sophie is of Sadie. You could see it all over her face. It was boiling out of her. Sophie sat behind me with some of her friends. She talked about Sadie the whole time. She was so proud to be her little sister. Of course, she told them about her new car too and that Sadie got to drive it to the game.
Molly did pretty well at the scrimmage. I was concerned about what we had in store when we were going to football games every week with a two year old. She loved the whistles. She loved that the boys were running all over the field. She loved to watch the cheerleaders. She loved to run up and down the bleachers. She loved the popcorn. She is a fan already!!
Most of my prayers are about these three girls. I pray constantly for their happiness, their health, their safety. I pray that I am raising them right and doing everything I can to point them in the right direction. I pray that they learn, live, and love. I pray that they always have each other and they stay close to Him. They are precious in His Name.
