Halloween 2013 was a success. I fretted and fretted that it was going to rain and we wouldn't get to take Molly.  But the rain cleared this morning and it was absolutely perfect in time for trick or treating.

If you know me very well, you know that I absolutely hate Halloween. But the thought of my girls missing out is worse than my petty feelings for a silly holiday.
So, believe it or not, I was excited to take them all dressed up to gather up some candy.

Sadie, of course, is too old to care. She did play along for my sake, but only to look good in her crayon suit and pacify her mother and her sisters. Sophie absolutely loved the dressing up, the walking, the candy, the whole bit. Molly has been excited about "crick or creeting" for over a week now. When it was over I think she thought, 'Is that it?'

We went to the park first and walked the trail. I love that they moved it to the park from Main Street. It seems to flow much better.

We took the wagon and pulled Molly in it. She refused to keep her hat on and she refused to hold her candy bag. She would not say "crick or creet," but she would say "thank you."

We did make our usual stops after and Molly was more comfortable with people she knew. Sophie had a good time regardless of where we were or who was there!

To start the festivities, the UPS man brought us treats from MeMe. There was a Halloween bag for each of us, even Mom and Dad!  I wish I had gotten a picture of the girls and their bags, but I didn't.

This is a hat that was in Molly's bag. Sophie got one too. Sophie thought that it was the coolest hat ever!! Apparently so did Molly, she now will not take hers off!!

I just went in to tuck Sophie in. She was fast asleep, with her hat on!!!
