Happy Birthday to Molly
!!!
If you say, "Molly, you are crazy!" She says, "No, I'm sweet." That response works with anything other than sweet or nice. (silly, goofy, precious, weirdo, cute, darlin, etc.) You see, she thinks she is sweet and nice and she will tell you just that.
If Molly gets mad at you be careful. She will let you know. She grits her teeth and says, "I'm mad to you." Good thing it doesn't last long when she gets mad to you.
Larry and I have a competition going every day over who is number one (according to Molly.) It varies you see. Daddy was the correct answer this time last year. When asked it was Daddy every single time. I have now moved up to the top of the list and more times than not, "Momma's number one" according to Molly. She lets Larry know he is number two.
Molly talks with a lisp, which is super cute right now. I hope she grows out of it. I try to work with her on it, but I'm not a professional. She also uses CR instead of TR almost always. So, Trash, Train, Tree, Trouble, Trying, Trick, Trisha, turns out to be Crash, Crain, Cree, Crouble, Crying, Crick, Crisha.
Molly is very smart and her hearing is fine, but she repeats things you say. For example, "Molly, pick that up and put it in the trash for me please." Molly says, "Put it in the crash?" Often times saying yes does not stop the madness. She will then say, "This in the crash? Put this in the crash? The crash over here?"
It is hard to talk Molly into things. With most kids, you can bribe them with something, or threaten them with something, but with Molly that doesn't always work. If she has her mind made up to do something or not to do something, that's pretty much the end result in her mind.
She loves to be a princess. Every day when she gets home she either changes into her princess dress up stuff or her cheerleading outfit. Some days, we switch back and forth several times.
We are still working on the potty training issue. (like I said, she has a mind of her own) When you ask her if she wants to pee pee in the potty she says, "I will tomorrow." This week we are really working on it. She has finally done it several times. I just hope she sets her mind to it. I mean really, it's time!
Sometimes I swear she's gonna be the death of me, but I wouldn't have it any other way!! She is one of a kind. She is sweetness in a bottle. I love watching her grow and learn. I can't wait to see how her personality develops. And just like Molly says to me....."I love her too much!!"
