Molly has entered the world of gymnastics. It was quite accidental. Sadie drives herself now, which cuts down my sitting in a gym time. Sophie's class is two hours long and I drop her off and return in time so she can show me all of her tricks and improvements before we leave. I try really hard not to take Molly because she is too hard to contain in a setting like that. I mean, she really thinks she's as big as all those kids in Sophie's class and she thinks she can do it too. So, I don't take her with me because honestly, it's just agony for both of us.
So, a couple of weeks ago, Larry had a meeting on Sophie's gymnastics night. I had no choice but to take Molly with me. I mean, I couldn't leave her at home by herself!! So, I tried my best to lay down the rules before we even got there. I promised her if she was good while Sophie was in her class, she could do some flips and jumps before we left.
She held her end of the bargain. She was really good and sat right beside me and watched. She watched intently with big eyes and asked me every two minutes if they were done yet.
Then FINALLY, they were done. She flipped and flopped and jumped and hopped and ran all over that place. The happiness on her face was blinding!!
Then it happened.....four little girls age 3 to 4 years old walked in and started stretching for their class time. I HAD NO IDEA!!! I'm usually out of there by that time.
You ought to know that Molly wasn't leaving when there were little people there like her getting ready to do some fun stuff.! She didn't blink an eye or even ask permission. She plopped down there and started doing whatever they were doing.
She did let me stay to watch. And yes, there was a fight when we left. Each time is getting a little bit better when it's time to go, but that is not her favorite part!! She absolutely loves gymnastics!!!
