Dauphin Island 2014
Part III
Warning: Picture overload....
Here is the last and final post on our beach trip. I have enough pictures to do a post a day for the rest of the year, but I will spare you.

These are some of my favorites. I love the memories that were made during this short trip.
The weather was perfect. We saw no sharks or jellyfish.
Molly did get a little braver each day, but still said that she preferred the "calm river" instead of the "wavy beach."
If I had to only pick one of them that showed the most excitement, I would have to say it was Sophie. She had a smile on her face the whole time!
She loved riding those waves!! She also loved that Sadie was right beside her doing it.
I loved the seclusion of Dauphin Island. There was a designated public beach at each end of the island, so it was quiet and peaceful where we were. There were a few other people beside us, but we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
Sadie is the only one who would cooperate for a photo shoot.
Molly wouldn't be still long enough and Sophie wouldn't get out of the water.
On Friday, we rode the ferry across the bay to Fort Morgan. We then drove to Orange Beach for breakfast. After breakfast we located our boat with our tour guide. We saw a few dolphins swimming and then we located a mermaid.
Sophie bit hard!! Hook, line, and sinker. She was the first one to spot the mermaid on the bank. The look on her face was priceless. But when we arrived and got in the water to swim with her, her skepticism won over. She checked that mermaid out and convinced herself that she was not a real mermaid. I think there was a little disappointment there. She loved Aqua, but she wanted her to be a real life mermaid.
Molly, on the other hand, will forever believe in mermaids. It took her awhile to warm up, but it was actually because of the water I think. She was big friends with Aqua in no time!
I did get a few good pictures of Sophie. I threatened her a little. But it was worth it to me...and she will be proud too one day.
There is no threatening Molly. She doesn't care. I have to pick my battles with that child. This was one that wasn't worth fighting for. Her pictures are just as precious anyway.
I like the ones that aren't posed more anyway!!
