On August 30th, Sadie got baptized.  It was a joyous day and my heart felt completely full.  She has been saved for a while now, but she wanted to make it public and wanted to be a member of our church.  We love our church family and she is very active in the church.  I could not be more proud of her.

This is Brother Kevin.  He is the pastor of our church.  He and his wife, April, have 5 little girls.

Sadie is a part of the Big Brother Big Sister Program at our church.  It is a mentoring program where older kids meet on Wednesdays after school and they are partnered with a younger child that signs up to be mentored.  They play, pray, help with homework, get to know them, and love them.  This program goes through the whole school year.  This is the third year that Sadie has been a Big Sister through this program.  She really enjoys it.

Sadie is also a part of the youth group.  They meet on Wednesdays after Big Brother Big Sister.  They have Bible lessons, do mission work, help the church with projects, etc.

The morning that Sadie went forward to announce that she wanted to be baptized, is a Godwink in itself.  She had just gotten her brand new iphone 5 the week before.  She has always had a refurbished phone and never a brand new one.  School was going to start the next week.  She had woken up earlier than normal and couldn't go back to sleep.  Sadie said that she started to pray.  She prayed specifically for the new school year and how she wanted to be more God centered with her life.  She wanted to concentrate on God first instead of all things secular.  She ended her prayers.  A few minutes later, it was time for her to get up and start getting ready for church.  Sometime during her morning routine, she went to get her phone off of her bed and it fell to the floor.  The screen completely shattered.  Shattered!! Her brand new phone.  9 days old.

You think God didn't show her how secular her phone is??

She got it.

The rest of the morning went pretty normal.  She said that she was sitting in her pew and was overwhelmed at the time of invitation.  She said that she didn't even realize that she was going up to the front of the church until she was almost up there.  She said that she realized what "being led" felt like.

I know where Sadie's heart is.  She may not realize it, but she truly inspires me a lot of the time.  She is a great example of a Christian young lady, which makes me work harder at it.  It is so beautiful to watch her grow.  I can not wait to see how He uses this precious girl!!
