Tuesday, September 16th was the girls' District Golf Tournament.  It was held at Hot Springs Village at Magellan Golf Course.  These girls have gotten so close this year.  They are pretty fun to be around too.

I took a trip up to the village to watch the match.  I haven't gotten to go to a match all season.  Larry went to a couple of them, but he makes Sadie nervous apparently.  She doesn't do very well when he is there.  So she instructed him to stay home.

Sadie's group teed off at 12:44 PM.  She made some pretty amazing shots, but she couldn't get off the tee very well on the front.

They made the turn and I was told by the monitor that the back was harder than the front.  I thought...crap!  Not that the front was all that bad.  She was just over 50 strokes and she had to make up some on the back.

But she was hot on the back.  She started out with a bogey and then par, par, par...

Then the bottom fell out.  It was pouring rain!!  The girls were soaked.  Then Sadie made a 9 on a hole.  She kept her spirits up and kept right on going.  More pars and bogeys.  She was excited when she added her score and realized she shot a 100...her lowest round.

She has made some good friends during these golf matches.  These girls are from Malvern.  They are total rivals, but they always love to see each other.

Sadie and Adley were both happy with their scores.  This is them awaiting the other scores to come in. They love creepy pictures.

They were even more excited when they learned that they made state.  The team as a whole didn't shoot low enough to make it, but Adley got 2nd place Individual and Sadie got 3rd place Individual.

So they are STATE BOUND and excited about it.  Who is that girl that doesn't care anything about golf?  Can you tell it in this picture??
