Last week was a full week. We had the festival at AWANAs. As it is nearing the end, the leaders thought it would be fun for the kids to have a fun day. There was face painting, water balloon tosses, corn dogs, sno-cones, bouncy houses, horseshoes, etc. At the end of the night, the two point leaders from the two groups got to throw a pie in the face of the preacher and his wife.
I didn't have a clue who the two point leaders were for the TNT group because I work with the other group. I was so surprised and excited when I heard them call Sophie's name as the point leader. I knew she had worked hard this year, but I had no idea she was the point leader!
Sophie got to choose who she wanted to "pie in the face." She picked Mrs. April instead of Brother Kevin. This is Mrs. April's face when Sophie picked her.
I knew she would pick Mrs. April.
Mrs. April was a good sport and Sophie loved it!! All the kids loved it!!!
Then on Saturday, we had a birthday party to go to. Molly was the one that got the invitation to Carter's birthday party. Sophie had to be tag along, but she didn't mind. She had fun too. Molly had a big time and she decided she wanted it to be her birthday again.
Sadie got selected this week for Girls State. What an honor and fun adventure. She continues to amaze me. She is excited to add this to her already full schedule this summer.
I couldn't imagine life without my three girls. They keep me busy, keep me on my toes, make me crazy, and make this mean old world fun.
Sophie has been coming to the office on Mondays after school until gymnastics starts. She really loves playing around with the officers. They all like it too. I caught some pictures of her with Greg.
She's teaching him the latest playground patty-cake-sing-along. They did it over and over and over.
I think Greg finally got the motions, but never got the words right. He would just make up his own, which cracked Sophie up.
