Saturday morning, the week before Senior Prom and we are going to see if we can find a prom dress.

Sadie has had one in her closet specifically for prom since last summer.  She felt secure that she already had it all planned out.  She felt proud that she saved me some money because she bought it used.  She was all set and ready to go....until she tried it on last week.                      She didn't like it!

I really wasn't in love with it either.  It is a beautiful dress; it just didn't fit her very well.  So.
Exactly one week before prom.  We went shopping.

As much as Sadie hates shopping...she found, what I think, is the perfect dress.  She always second guesses herself.  She liked the dress but wasn't sure if it was good enough for prom.  After much conversation and consideration, she decided it was just her style and she was going with it.

Molly went with us and was a good sport through all of the dress finding, dressing room sitting, and sister whining about all her senior problems.  For a treat for being so good and because no was not an option, we let Molly pick out some dresses to try on and model.

We picked out several and went to the dressing room, just like we did with Sadie.  She would come out and model them for us and we would take a picture so she could see what it looked like on her.  I told her that she could only pick one, so she had to find her favorite.

She loved loved loved all this.  She loves dresses anyway, but getting to play dress up in the store was pretty much amazing to her.

I had picked out a couple of dresses.  Sadie had picked out a couple of dresses.  And Molly picked out a couple of dresses.  Let me just say....I did not pick out this next dress.  Sadie didn't either.
It was all Molly!!

The red one looked really nice on her.  It was lacy and had jewels on it.

This one Sadie picked out had sequins on the top.  It was really even prettier than the picture shows.

I thought Molly would love this little flapper dress.  She did love twisting and turning and making it flap.

But out of all the super cute dresses......
she picked this one.

It is awful!!!  There is nothing about it that I like.  But she loved it and that's what we went home with.

We made a few more stops, one being to look for a masquerade mask.  We found a couple, but Sadie wasn't impressed with our opinion.

Molly had a fun time shopping, but was sure worn out on the way home!
(Sophie didn't go because she went with Dad turkey hunting.  Sophie isn't a very good shopper anyway and was super impressed that she didn't have to sit through all that trying on mess and we brought her back some new stuff.)
