Anna Claire planned it all and I got glow sticks for everyone. She called me when she was ready and I made up an excuse to go to Anna Claire's house.
The girls were hiding and jumped out when we came up the steps. Sophie was really really surprised!!
Molly went along to play with Emma.
They had pizza and swam until it got dark.
Sophie really enjoyed the party and everything being about her.
Molly and Emma was right in there with the big girls. In fact, they think they are big girls too.
When it got dark, they broke out the glow sticks.
It really was pretty cool with those glow sticks everywhere in the dark. They threw them all in the pool and would dive down and go get them.
I really started wishing that we had a pool in our back yard that we could play in on these hot summer nights. But then I remember about the costs and the maintenance and I wiped that thought from my head and decided to be completely content with the country club pool that closes at 7:00.

The party was complete with birthday cake. This was actually the second time they sang the happy birthday song. The first time, Molly blew the candles out before the song was over. So, we lit the candles and sang again so Sophie could blow them out. (Notice the smile on Molly's face. She's guilty.)
This bunch is a crazy little crew.
You never know what's going to happen when they are around. Even a little cake on the face....or face on the cake...depends on which way you look at it.
Sophie enjoyed it all. That's the only thing that matters. She loves loves loves everyone and only wants them to love her back. That's it. Nothing else. She has such a pure heart.
