I didn't know much else about it. I was looking forward to it, but I think it was just because Sadie was in it and I always love to go to the girls' stuff.
There were four nights of performances, Wednesday through Saturday, and Saturday there were two performances.
What I learned is that all the different clubs perform a song/skit/show. They are all put together to form what I would call a musical. Each club performance has a theme and the performers change the words to sometimes familiar songs to fit their theme.
Sadie was in the group call student life. She isn't in a social club so she signed up where she could. Their theme was "Supercenter." Life as a college student has lots to do with Walmart Supercenter. All college kids go to Walmart.
As always, Sadie was a performer! When she does it, she is going to make sure she puts all of herself in it. This was no different. I get cracked up at her facial expressions in these pictures.
Believe it or not, she even got her basket tuck put in there. They threw her and she flipped on the stage.
What I didn't know is that all of the money made on ticket sales was to be given next year as scholarships. That is over $100,000.00 given in scholarships. Awesome.
I also didn't know how much thought and creativity was put into these shows. Some of the costumes were amazing. The choreography was pretty cool. The talent blew me away.
I know that I am now a great fan of Tiger Tunes. I will be glad to support it forever and am already looking forward to next year.
I got tickled because Sadie would just call it Tunes. "I have Tunes practice tonight." "After Tunes practice I did this." "Tunes this..." "Tunes that..." So when I would talk about Tunes, I would get confused and call it iTunes.
Then when we were eating before the show, Sophie asked Cameron if they had Bear Tunes at Conway. (pretty cute, right?)
I was thoroughly impressed and enjoyed the whole show. Sadie said it was exhausting doing the practices every single night, but it was totally worth it. I'm so glad she got to be a part of that....and invited us to come.
