Sophie has grown so much over the summer.  She has long lean legs but that is not even what I am talking about.  Her maturity level has really gone up alot in such a short time.  It is amazing how one day she is a little girl and the next she is a teen age girl that is so much different than what you have been living with for the last several years.

This is a good thing.  I am bragging on her.
I just didn't expect it to happen so fast.

I'm trying to put my finger on it and can't.  I think it is just a combination of things and time.  Life is changing for her and I hope she stays on the right path.  I want nothing but good things for her.

She started junior high, which was awesome for her.  She was so done with elementary.  Junior High life is really good for Sophie.  She loves it.  All of it.
She moved up to the youth class at church.  She absolutely loves that.  It is a super big group with a lot of different personalities and different kinds of people.  I think it is really good for her.  She is getting involved.

That is a big thing for Sophie!  She has not been one to get involved in anything.  Now she is enjoying getting involved in things.  She is playing basketball and LOVES it.
(except she wanted the number 1 and had to settle for 00 and she didn't love that)
I'm super excited to see her on a team of kids working on the same goal and to see how she handles the team situation.

She joined FBLA.
She is participating in school spirit and dresses up for any theme day that they have.

Above - Twin Day to "Double Team the Cobras"
Below - Nerd Day to "Outsmart the Somebodys"

She has a wide variety of friends and has been able to reconnect with some older friends she had in elementary that moved up.
She is super involved in keeping up with the football games, even the ones we can't go to.

She is super involved at home.  She doesn't just go to her room and shut the door.  (Although her room that used to be AWAYS clean is NEVER clean.  This must be a teenager thing.)
She plays with her little sister and hangs out with us every chance she gets.  She is way excited when Sadie comes home.  She reads alot.  She studies.  She always takes notes at church.

She made straight As in all of her classes.  Pre-AP classes at that.
She is trying and excelling in every way and I could not be more proud of her.

I wish time would slow down but I can't wait to see what God has in store for her!
