He really knew what he was doing. And he really can put a web together pretty fast. We were outside probably an hour and his web was very large and very detailed. I tried to capture the whole web, but I didn't get one to turn out very well.
Spiders do freak me out. I don't want them on me. I don't want them in my house. I don't want them in my shoes. But they are really amazing to watch at web building time.

And next, the reason for this post, is to introduce you to our new friend. He showed up at our house Sunday. It is not unusual for canines to casually pass through and sit a spell, but they usually mosey on their way after nightfall or the next day. I was surprised to see this little fellow sitting under the tree Sunday afternoon. And I tried to go over and visit with him to see where he was headed and where he had come from. He is a little shy and refused to visit with me, but I can tell he finds me very interesting.
He has no collar and looks like he has missed a few meals. He must have been traveling for a while. I knew he was hungry and went inside and cooked him up some left overs that he absolutely loved. He slept under the porch Sunday night and only came out when food is left and water is freshened. We are trying to show him that we are good people. He's not really sure right now.
He's a funny looking dog. He's long like a basset hound but looks like a lab in the face. He hasn't shown any aggression and is old enough to not chew everything up in the yard. And the girls are very interested in him. Sophie has named him TBone. We will see if he likes our family. I hope he stays.

Oh I love Tbone! He is a cute little dog. The spider on the other hand...kinda creepy. Just in time for Halloween!
