Sadie attended Junior Week this year. I had never heard of it before and can not believe why!! I wish I would have gone when I was younger. Shoot-I want to go now at my age!! It is a week filled with activities with hundreds of kids. It's held at the Little River Country Club every year and is apparently a tradition that has been going on for the past 50 years. I know that Sadie enjoyed every minute of it! FUN FUN FUN!

Sadie and Kelsey went together, of course. It's the Siamese twin thing. Hips. Joined. Although no matter how inseparable, Sadie couldn't talk Kelsey into running the mile run with her. Every activity was a competition where trophies and ribbons were possible. I think Sadie participated in everything.

Sadie did very well in the golf division, which made me proud. She won 1st place in the golf tournament, after a play-off. She also got 2nd place in the longest drive for her age division.

She also got 2nd place in Checkers. Who is this kid????

She said that she and Kelsey both didn't fair well in the horseshoe and ping pong tournaments. But they couldn't bring home ALL the trophies. They might not get invited back next year.

They had plenty of pool time and river time and dance time. Yes, I said it, it is hard to say it, but there was a dance every night. My little girl. Eleven. Dancing. At a dance. With boys?? I don't think there were a whole lot of dancing with boys in this age group. I think they pretty much danced with other girls and did the cool stand around a visit thing. Which is good with me. Just fine with me!

Kelsey and Sadie have been friends since birth. Literally. They are very close in age. Just a few months and they are more like sisters than any two tiny people I know.

So a week together at a country club, that had a river very close by, that had a pool, that had hundreds of kids from other towns and states, wasn't half bad for these two girls. They loved it.

Sadie won 2nd place in the biggest splash award. Sadie and Kelsey won 1st place in the tennis doubles. Sadie brags and then admits it was by default because they were the only team that signed up for their age division.

And look at all the new friends she made. What good times for two pre-teen girls! Do you think these two were ready to leave all of this????

I think not.
