Yesterday Sophie celebrated 4 years old. She was way excited that I took some princess cakes and party blowers to Mrs. Verna's for all the kids to have. She was even more excited when we got home and she had presents!! We didn't have a party this year. Just cake, ice cream, and presents, but she didn't seem to mind. Next year, when she FINALLY turns five, since it is a BIG deal to her, I think I will have her a pool party and invite her little friends too.
Sophie was very thankful this year for her gifts. I don't know if I just did a really good job picking them out or if I have done a better job on her manners. But she does appreciate things in her own little way. In a way, it breaks my heart to see her growing up.
When we lit her candles and sang Happy Birthday to her, I told her to close her eyes and make a wish. I got my camera ready to snap when she blew with all her might. She closed her eyes and said, "I wish my Daddy was here" and blew with all her might. Bless her bones!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANE!!

Thank you! Even though you made me cry. I know she misses her daddy. Bless her bones. I hope she always remembers him and how much he loved her, Sadie and Colt. I know you haven't forgotten me. I will leave the rest for a private conversation. Thank you again. Love you and my girlies!
That breaks my heart & wish it were that easy!!! I cannot even begin to imagine the hurt at age 4 what it would be like to lose a parent. (I can barely put it into words at age 35!) You're a good momma though and will make sure she never goes without the tiniest loss of love!
