This note posted to God from Kristi on February 8th:

Dear God, if you are reading this, please send snow to Nashville for Sophie! She's never gotten to build a snowman or make snow angels or even eat snow ice-cream. They've not even gotten to miss school because of snow! I do not want my children to appear selfish by getting all of this snow, so movie it on further south a little. I know they sure would appreciate it. Amen!

It started snowing at about 1:30 yesterday.....the only thing I wanted to do was go get my girls and let them play in the snow. I was hoping for just enough to play in for a little while.

So after work, I raced home with them (slowly and safely) and bundled them up for some play time in the snow. The whole while, I thought about Kristi and her note to God to send some snow our way.

Sophie has been a little under the weather, but I chanced it anyway. I mean, how many chances of snow have we gotten and missed it? I wasn't gonna let her miss the snow. And Sadie was a little pumped up too-smashing me with snowballs!

We didn't make snow angels because of Sophie's cold. We didn't have enough to make snow ice cream and I really don't know how to. And school was already out for mid-winter break so the girls didn't miss any school.

But we did make a small beautiful snowman!!

So I have to say a great big thank you to God for our fun beautiful snow day, to Mom for wishing it our way and to Kristi for her note to God with the request!
