Sophie's first dance recital was a big hit. She performed on the big stage to "I Oughta Be In Pictures."

Believe it or not, I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to. I was a little overwhelmed. We had dress rehearsel Saturday and we were allowed to take pictures at that time. I got a few while she was on stage performing, but not many because I didn't want to miss anything.

Backstage before her performance was just utter chaos. There were costumes and bows and bags and little girls. Moms were everywhere fixing hair and makeup. There was a fog of hairspray all over the place. I must be more prepared if she dances next year!!

I noticed that I didn't put enough makeup on her for dress rehearsel, so I added a little more on Sunday. She looked like a little doll.

I was worried about her getting stage fright. She had made a couple of comments about being scared to do it. That, coupled with her 'shy-at-first-sight' personality, I was so afraid that she would freeze up.



But she did a real fine job!! And I really enjoyed the recital. It surprised me how much I enjoyed watching all of those girls. It is amazing to me what Miss Lana does with those girls of all ages. It is very neat to watch the different age groups and see how much that they learn. It was truly amazing.



As for my sweet little Sophie.....a star was born.
