Here are the chronicles to my second trip to Vegas. I did things that I didn't get to do last time, and things that I had never done before. Just as I love New Orleans, I have come to love Vegas. I am convinced that I could go back over and over again and still see and do things new every time.

Louise, Jane and I traveled to Las Vegas on Saturday. We flew out of Shreveport and stopped in Memphis to change planes. In the airport at Memphis at a little place called the Blue Note Cafe, I had the best potato soup in the world! We then boarded and flew from Memphis to Vegas.

We stayed at the Venetian Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. It was beautiful inside and out. There are two different towers to the Venetian Hotel and just one tower is larger than anything I have ever seen. It is lavish, it is rich, it is classy.....everything there is the top of the line and absolutely gorgeous.

Above is a picture of the lobby. Below is a picture of the gondola ride inside the Venetian. The river is located inside, as well as outside the hotel. This picture is taken on the inside of the hotel. The ceiling is way high, but looks like the sky. It is an outdoor feeling and an amazing illusion. I don't know how they do it, but the clouds actually move very slowly. It looks as though you are outside.

Jane and I went to the Luxor Hotel, where they have a tour and exhibit of the Titanic. We saw many artifacts that were recovered from the Titanic and learned many facts. When we started the tour, we were given a boarding pass. The pass had information of a passenger that was on the Titanic when it sank and at the end of the tour, you learned whether your passenger survived or perished. My passenger was Hanna Touma, who was traveling with her 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son to reunite with her husband in the United States. They came from Lebanon. Hanna and her children were survivors.

We had a fun filled weekend and never stopped. We had room service delivered every morning for our wake-up call. We ate dinner at the finest of restaurants every night. I felt almost like a celebrity.

This was the first time that I had ever ridden in a limo...

The limo ride was pretty cool. I felt like a red carpet diva, but the limo is just a really long car. We took a ride one evening to Fremont Street to see the light show. I really love the atmosphere down there.




We also visited the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Blvd....the one on the History Channel. It was a really neat experience.

When we got there, they were filming inside and we had to wait in line to get in. This place is world known since the TV series. There are guards at the door and so many people there just to see the place.


Louise and I had our eye on this antique slot machine. We didn't really want it, but thought it was neat.

Our last night in Vegas, we had a birthday dinner for Louise, for this was the purpose of the trip. We ate at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant called Postrios.

and the chef created Louise a birthday dessert....which we all shared.

Although I missed my babies.....We all had a very good time.
