Yesterday was parent day at dance. I went with checkbook in hand because it is time to order costumes for the recital.

I was proud of the improvements that Sophie has made. You can definitely tell a difference in last year and this year already. She is very intent and pays very close attention to the teacher. She tries super hard to keep her little toes pointed and her fingers in.

This year Sophie's group will perform two dances during the recital. One will be ballet and one will be tap, which means two costumes....

I did get a pretty nifty little video camera for Christmas, and I did remember to take it with me to capture these beautiful moments of the girls. But I haven't had time to figure out how to add video to my blog yet. In the coming weeks, I will have time at home to figure such things as this out.

This is Sadie's first year of dance, while it is Sophie's second. I was really surprised at how fast Sadie has picked dance up. I mean, she has had no prior lessons of any kind. I really didn't know what to expect.

I was very impressed with her form and how elegant she is. You couldn't tell that this is her first year in dance. She has picked up the form and the basics very fast. We didn't get to watch as much of their practice as we did the little girls, but what I did see made me very exited about the recital in May.

Sadie's group will perform three dances this year. One will be ballet, one will be tap, and one will be jazz, which means three costumes....
That's a total of five costumes........if you are counting...
But they are worth it!

How so very precious they are!! Those little leotards are so cute! I can't wait to see them in their recital, in all 5 costumes! I will even hold Molly while you take lots of pictures and videos. ;-)

Oh won't May be fun with 2 kids in a recital and a 3 month old. I'll start praying for you now! I doubt Diane will be able to get her hands on Molly if Larry is anywhere around! (HA!)

I cannot wait to get Presley in some kind of gymnastics and/or dance program! I love how Sophie is so serious and Sadie is so like...yeah right, get the picture and move on.

Love you girlie & can't wait to see you!

That is awesome! I took dance for years and loved it. I wanted Jamie too, but she was only interested in gymnastics.
