Well, since Easter, we have had lots going on. The following weekend we had a couples tournament at Nashville. We got rained out on Sunday, so Larry and I finished 3rd. We tied for second and got carded out to 3rd place. We shot 6 under on Saturday. I was really wanting to play on Sunday, but the monsoon came.
Then we had a wonderful visit with Kristi, Dylan, and Presley. I love when they get to come in and I get to see them. It is not as often as I would like, but I am just a little greedy I guess. Dylan has grown a foot, I swear, and is so polite and just like Kristi in a little man's body. Presley is at the fun age where she is talking and curious about everything. She is pretty fond of Molly I think. She likes to give her love. Kristi brought me lots of goodies again. That girl is spoiling Miss Molly! I am so thankful for all of the things that she has brought for her. Clothes, highchair, playpen, bouncie, car seat......almost every baby necessity I need has come from her, and then some. What a lifesaver!!!
Tuesday night, Sadie had a musical. She shined again. Choir was not something that she chose to take in 7th grade. Because of her schedule, it was the better of two options, but she has really enjoyed it. This was the second musical that the choir has performed. It was very good and Sadie did an awesome job! I didn't get any pictures, but I did record the musical for her. I might add that Sophie really enjoyed the show, but Molly not so much. Larry had to take her outside in the middle of the first song.
Saturday, Sadie and I played in a 2Lady Scramble at Prescott. We had a really good time. It is a small tournament that is only one day and every year it is on Mother's Day weekend. I think we may have started a tradition. Sadie played really good, and we did not finish last! Sadie has played with Larry in the Adult/Child tournament here at home for the past two years. But in the words of Sadie, "This was her first real money tournament."
Molly is growing so fast. It is amazing how fast time goes by. She is 3 and a half months old already. She is sleeping like a baby and eating like a little piggy. She loves to be outside. She loves to be talked to. She loves to watch TV. It is funny because I have not changed a poopy diaper in over a month. She always does it for Daddy. He acts like he doesn't like it, but I know different. I tell him that Molly and I talked about it and we made an agreement for her to wait until Daddy can change it. It's too funny.
Sophie has been busy too. She had a birthday party sleep over last weekend and this weekend she got to go to the Peach Festival with some friends. She had a good time.It seems to me that Sophie has gotten alot bigger lately. It may be because Molly is so small. It may be because she is almost through with Kindergarten. It may be because I am trying to cherish and remember every single day with these girls because it is going by so fast.
Yesterday was Mother's Day. I got the sweetest card from Kristi in the mail. It talks about how best friends are just that..best friends no matter what. How very thoughtful of her to send me a card on Mother's Day. I know that she is missing her mother on Mother's Day and every day. I feel for her that she can not just pick up the phone and call her mother and tell her that she loves her. Chances are that we will all feel that one day, I just hate it was taken away from her so soon.
I also got a Happy Mother's Day message from Diane's mom. How very thoughtful! She is a sweet lady and I don't think she has a mean bone in her body. It was a wonderful surprise to hear from her out of the blue.
My big girls each made me cards for Mother's Day. They were home-made. To me those are the best kind. It shows their creativity and it stamps their personalities at this age. I also got a chalk message in the driveway. It was absolutely beautiful. It gives me another reason to hope for no rain for a day or two.
In honor of Mother's Day, I will leave you with a couple of my favorite sayings that my mom says:
Forty leven: This is used as a number. Example: I didn't find any shoes, but I tried on forty leven.
Nip it in the bud: This means to stop it now before it gets out of hand.
Study bout it: This means that she has to think about it for a while.
Play it by ear: This means she doesn't know what she wants to do right now and she has to study bout it.
Look for me when you see me coming: This means she doesn't know when she will be there, she's going to play it by ear.
There are many more, but these are my favorites and I will admit....I have used each one of them a time or two. At one point in my life I thought we might kill each other, but now I know that I wouldn't be who I am without her. I love her like a daughter should, with everything I have! I understand all the things that I didn't years ago. I will admit that she was right, just don't tell her I said that!!

WOW, WOW, WOW!! So much has been going on in your world. I think that is awesome that you and Sadie may have started a tradition for Mother's Day weekend. I can't believe how fast Sophie is growing either. She is getting to be a big girl!! Little Molly is growing by leaps and bounds. I love that expression that she has in the picture with Larry. Like she wants to tell him something. So Funny!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!! The girls are so very lucky to have you as their Momma!!! I am excited that Mama sent you a message. That was super sweet of her. I had no idea she had done that. Love you!!
Oh my soul, Molly has changed since I saw her last!! STOP IT NOW!!! I am so very glad you've been able to use all of Presley's stuff - talk about perfect timing!! And it helps me de-clutter! LOVE! Even though Dylan is quieter than me and Presley, he really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to see you all again.
How fun that Sadie is old enough to go golfing in tournaments with you. Glad you did NOT finish last!!
Because I miss my girls, I have to stalk out the blog pretty often! I laughed out loud just now when I looked at Molly & Larry's picture. I know what she's thinking...Dad, what in the world is that stuff in your mouth?! HA!
