Sophie turned 6 years old today!! Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl!! There are so many things I can say about Sophie. She is the sweetest, most tender hearted little girl I know, but can be so mischievous too. She is so animated and so funny. Sometimes I can not believe the things that she comes up with. She has a precious little heart that loves everybody. She is shy and timid at first, but then very outspoken.
She loves to dance and she loves to sing. She doesn't get the words right sometimes, but she will sing it loud. Often times she will sing and make up songs as she goes. Those are the sweetest. Especially when she sings about her Momma. Sophie just finished Kindergarten and I was amazed when she came home one evening and sang me the Alma Mater. She cracked me and Sadie up when she finished the song up with, "and to dear old Alma Mater, we'll be baseball and Drew.!" We laughed and laughed and explained to Sophie that those were not the words. Sophie insisted that those were in deed the words that she learned at her school and that maybe Sadie had a different Alma Mater.
Sophie loves to play with Sadie. They love each other immensely, but they argue all the time. I guess that's what sisters are suppose to do. Sadie used to be able to get away with a lot more with Sophie then she does now. Sophie definitely has her own personality, and she doesn't let Sadie boss her around much. Sadie has a problem with that because she is the oldest and thinks she is supposed to be the boss. Most of time I let them handle their own problems. Sometimes I do have to step in and be the judge and jury.
Sophie wants to be able to do everything that Sadie does. I think that it is important to let her be little as long as she can. It's just the little things that bother Sophie. For example, the standing rule is that the biggest kid gets to sit in the front seat. Sophie can not stand having to sit in the back when Sadie gets to sit in the front. But Sophie loves when she gets to sit in the front when Sadie is not there. Sophie told me the other day that when Sadie moves out, she (Sophie) can sit in the front all the time and Molly will have to sit in the backseat. That is seniority people!! In my opinion, there is a lesson there that she has learned.
Sophie is a smart little girl. I love her so much. I wish everything good for her and am so proud to be her Mom. Happy Birthday Sophie!!

Happy Birthday!! I love that seniority rule - Dylan always sat in the front because he is older! It may have only been by 3 months but by golly, he was older! I don't play the "shotgun" game either!
Are you working today or no? (HA)
I LOVE the candles in the pop-tarts!! I bet she had a wonderful day. Can't beleive she is 6 years old now. My how time flies.
Happy Birthday, sweet Sophie!
