Sadie is on the high school golf team this year.

She is stying the Scrapper Spirit with the orange bow and orange sunglasses!!

I didn't think she would love it as much as she does.  She definitely has some natural talent.  She can hit that ball!  She is already out driving me most of the time.  At fourteen she is impressive, if she keeps this up we are looking at some college scholarships!! 

She has played four matches already this season, in just two short weeks. 

At each one they have only played 9 holes.  The girls play with the girls, and the boys play with the boys. 

The first match was at Malvern.  She shot a 54. 

The next was at Millwood.  She shot a 57. 

The third was at DeQueen.  She shot a 47. 

Today was at Nashville.  She shot a 53.   

 That's not bad shooting!!!

I think she loves the golf, but she also loves being part of a team and meeting girls from other schools.  These two girls were who she played with today.  They were Lauren and Mallory from DeQueen and Ashdown.   

She is shooting a good score for a 9 hole round, especially for a first year student.  It will not be long and she will be beating me for sure.  She is excited about how well she is doing, and she rubs it in just a little about how far she can hit the ball. 

I wish I knew golf was so fun when I was in school.  I would have for sure been on the golf team.  I have improved each year that I have played.  Our course is par 71.  Just for the record, I shot my lowest round,  76 on Sunday, August 12, 2012, that would happen to be my Mom's birthday.  I called her right before my round to tell her Happy Birthday.  I just know that she brought me luck!!
