This is an example of what my life is with Molly. I bought her a baby swimming pool at the beginning of the summer. She really had nothing to do with it. Now it is basically a place for Marley to get a drink of water when she's thirsty. Then Larry went and bought her a plastic sprinkler and the girl LOVES it.
In fact, she has since torn the thing up and now just plays in the sprinkler in the yard for watering the grass. Last night we were riding around on the golf cart and stopped for a few minutes and she was in the neighbor's yard running through their sprinkler.
Sophie turned 7 years old last week. Sadie and I had planned to take her skating and to eat. She was very excited about the idea, that is until she got a better offer. When she found out that she was invited to go get her nails done with Anna Claire and Madison, she dropped Sadie and me like hot potatos. I let her go though. After all, it was her birthday! Sadie wasn't as forgiving as I was, but it may have been that she was a little excited about going skating too.
We celebrated with Sophie that evening and then had a swimming pool party for her the following Monday. She invited her friends and had a very good time. Sadie got to invite some friends to swim with her and Molly even invited a friend. Happy Birthday SOPHIE!! I hope all your wishes come true!!
Speaking of birthdays, Molly turned 18 months last Thursday. She is changing almost every day. I have been tempted to cut her little bangs, but just can't bring myself to do it. I try to keep them pinned back, but the bow doesn't last long in her hair, she pulls it out. It doesn't seem like it has been 18 months....but then again, it doesn't seem like Sadie should be 14 and Sophie 7.
Sadie has been busy busy this summer. She has been working at the club. She has been babysitting. She has been helping me keep the house cleaned. She had been going to gymnastics. She has also been working on her golf game. She is going to be on the golf team this year and is excited and scared about it all at the same time. I told her excited and scared go hand in hand. I am proud of her in many ways, and so proud to be her mother.
I count my blessings every day!!
