Happy Easter!!

It was a good Easter for us, although we didn't get to spend it with the rest of the family like we have in years past.  The weather forecast wasn't good for hiding eggs and being outside, so we just decided to stay home this year for Easter.  After all, what does Easter eggs and bunnies have to do with the Resurrection of Jesus?? I really struggled with that this year.

It did rain most of the weekend, shortly after we got home from church, the sun came out and the temperature was great for an afternoon of fun.  Sadie and I hid the eggs that we all had dyed the night before.  Then we turned the little girls out to hunt them.  Molly was interested for about three eggs.  Then she was done.

Sophie found the other eggs, with a little little help.  She is not going to be an investigator when she grows up.  She is not into the looking and digging and figuring things out.  She wants someone to tell her where to look.

Nevertheless--we got them all back in the baskets so we wouldn't have stinky eggs in the flowerbeds and the yard.

I didn't get any pictures of my beautiful girls in their Easter dresses.  I know-Mother of the Year award again out of reach.  But I did get them all to sit together for a total of two minutes so I could get their picture together.  That really is a challenge these days, especially for Molly.

We then loaded up in the golf carts and went for a little ride on the course.  Which led to some practice shots.

What one monkey does, the other ones have to do as well.

See my point?

Then the girls decided they wanted to see if the fish were biting.

I caught some precious pictures during this time, before I got into an ant pile.  That hampered the moment for a bit.

Sadie and Sophie each caught two fish.  But who was counting, right?  Molly refuses to let anyone throw her line out because she wants to do it by herself now.  So she didn't get a fish this time.

After we got home, Sadie and Sophie decided to hit the Easter eggs into the woods with golf clubs.  Who was I to say no?
