Happy Birthday
to my Sophie. She turned 8 years old today.
Sophie got to choose an outing for her birthday. She decided to invite a friend and go out to eat, to the movies and then home for a sleepover. She had been wanting to see Despicable Me 2. The plus was that it was in 3D and it came out in July, just in time for her birthday.
Sophie decided that it would be okay if Molly came along too. Molly had never been to the movies, and I didn't know how she would do through a movie, so I also let Sadie join us with a friend so she could help me if Molly didn't think the movie was so cool. All of this was approved through the birthday girl because it was her day!!
Then we are off to the movies!
6 girls, ages 39 to 2.
Olive Garden $60
Movies $52
Popcorn & Cokes $41
Sophie getting to be Queen for a day= Priceless
I hope Sophie had a good birthday. I think she did. We didn't have a big party. Quite honestly, I don't like them. I would rather do a smaller scale and make it last longer for them.
It is hard to believe that she is 8 years old now. I remember her in those sweet little pigtails and it seems like it wasn't 8 years ago. Sophie is and has always been the sweetest little thing. She is a little sneaky and a little rebellious, but her little heart is just so tender. She wears her feelings on her sleeve most days and she loves attention and affection. She is a lovable little thing who loves everybody. She doesn't take it well when people pick on her because she takes it to heart.
She is not as mature as Sadie was at this age, but that's okay too. I like that they are different and I only compare them to each other to pick out their differences. She needs more attention at this age and I probably have made her that way.
I pray that I am raising her right and teaching her what she needs to know. I hope that she does toughen up a little as she gets older because life is hard, but I don't want her to loose her soft heart either. One thing I know for sure: She is the sweetest little 8 year old I know and I am proud to be her Momma. I don't know what I would do without the little toot!

Happy Birthday! She is the sweetest girl ever! Dylan commented on that last time we were there on how she just hugs him and is so sweet to him. Looks like y'all had fun. My little fart's b-day is coming up and I too am doing a low key party. Big things make me nervous!
She is a precious, sweet little girl. So are your other two!! :)
