Sadie's District Golf Tournament was Tuesday. They played their home course and they weather was absolutely gorgeous! Sadie wasn't sure at first if she wanted me to take off and watch, but with a little persuasion, she decided I could.
I followed her and watched her the whole round. Larry snuck away from work and came and watched her for about 9 holes. He and I both were super proud of her.
Larry has always been amazed at her natural ability. He has always said that she has the potential to be really really good.
I don't know if she sees that or not, but the more I watch her the more I see it. She has a beautiful swing. I can hit the ball as far as anyone out there when she connects with it.
Four girls per school can compete in District. They take the lowest three scores of the four, add them together, and that is the team score. The two lowest team scores go to State, competing as a team. Then they take the remaining teams and allow the four lowest individual scores to go to State as an individual.
Sadie shot a 107. They didn't make State and Sadie missed the cut to go as an individual, but not by much. She had a really bad hole on 18 where she took a 10 on a par 4. Even still, she really improved her score from last year.
It was a great way to end the season!!!

I'm so glad she took up golf!! I hope she sticks with it, which I'm sure she will. She is a doll!
