When we figured out how to do lap time it made everybody's feelings better. Hugs were easier. Laughs were deeper. Life was better.

We have to put a pillow between her and our legs because that cast will make my feet go numb after a little while.

We also try to get in some tummy time when we can.  She doesn't  like it as much, but her back started hurting from the cast pressing against her spine.

Trying to get her to eat and drink these past few days has been a chore. I'm to the point that if she wants Cheetos all day long, as long as she's eating and drinking something, I don't care what it is.

I'm super proud of Sadie and Sophie. I'm trying hard not to let them feel left out with all the attention soley being on Molly.   They have helped and been supportive even when Molly doesn't want them too, which I love!!

Yesterday started getting hard. She wants to be done with this. She is tired of the cast. She is tired of not being able to get around. She is tired of everything. She has had a couple of melt downs. The only thing we can do is just try to change the environment and activities to try to change the mood. We even went for a ride on the golf cart yesterday evening. It worked!

Until we got back home and tried to put her back in the bean bag.

The bean bag is her favorite place to be. But that even gets old. Sophie loaned us her room for a while to see if that would help. It did for a little while.

For 2 and a half, she is a smart little girl. She knows exactly what is going on. She knows that she fell on the scooter.  She can tell you what happened. Nothing much gets by her. This was our conversation this morning:

Molly- "My leg feels better."
Me- "It does?  Good!!"
Molly- "Take this off."
Me- "I can't baby."
Molly- "Go get scissors. I do it."

18 more days!! Yes. I am counting them down!!
