I look at these pictures and it seems like only yesterday with each one of them.
So we celebrated her birthday. Not with a big party, but with a girls day. Sophie got to plan the whole day and be the boss, or the chief, as we call it in our house.
She woke up Monday to a Fancy Cake cake with candles, compliments of Sadie. Sadie had cheer practice so we took Molly to Verna's, ran by the office to tie up some loose ends, went to the bank to cash her birthday checks, and back home to pick up Sadie.
Then we were off to Texarkana. First stop was the mall. Sophie bought her some hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. We strolled through several stores and she couldn't find anything that she couldn't live without.
I treated the Birthday girl and her sister to mani/pedis.
They turned out beautiful, even if the lady wouldn't let Sophie have grey polka dots because she said they wouldn't look good on her. They laughed about that for hours.
Then Sophie decided we would eat at Olive Garden. Yes. That is where she wanted to eat last year on her birthday too. Who can argue with the birthday girl?
With bellies full, we were off the the movies. The movie she wanted to see wasn't playing, so we settled for Earth to Echo. Pretty cute.
Once home, we did her real birthday cake. (Molly is all about some birthday cake. ) She made a wish and blew out her candles, with Molly's help of course.
We had got Sophie a new bike that she picked out at Walmart. Sadie and Sophie was on the course so I got it out and was going to ride it and meet them out there to surprise her with it. Some kind of "malfunction" with the bike or the universe caused the bike tire to explode. I absolutely plead the fifth. However, we had to go back to Walmart to get a new bicycle. I think I will stay off of this one, just in case the stars get out of line again.
