Sadie and Adley were all ready and excited about going to STATE.  They had already decided that we were staying up there the night before, eating big, and they were making one of their infamous videos.

The week before Girl's State, they had a steak dinner for the whole golf team.  I didn't go, but I stole this cute picture from Twitter, because I can't depend on Sadie to get any pictures for me anymore.

Two nights before we were going to head to Little Rock, Adley fell in a hole and broke her foot.  Sadie was as devastated as Adley was.  Her enthusiasm fell below zero and she wasn't even very interested in going anymore.

She and I went up the night before.  We had a perfect girl night and enjoyed each other, especially with it being just me and her.

We arrived at the Country Club of Arkansas at 7:40 AM.  Coach Worthen met us there.  Sadie warmed up and off we went.

She didn't play as well as she is capable.  But I was super proud of her for making it to state.  I know she would have had a lot more fun if Adley would have been able to go to.

She bombed her tee shots and putted really well all day long.  She had trouble with the hazards and took lots of penalty strokes because of them.

I told her the course beat her.

Regardless, she shot a 105.

She wasn't very happy with her score, but she is always her worst critic.  She hit the ball really good and she finished strong.

She let herself get down for a couple of holes, but she came back at it.  Her last 6 or 7 holes were her best holes.

The next day when she found out she placed 25th out of 61 individual scores, it made her feel better.  She has no idea what potential she has.

She says she is not playing next year.  Coach Worthen says she doesn't have a choice.
We shall see!!
