Molly mostly rode anything that you could ride and Sophie played the games. Molly didn't really get into the games. I think she realized that she didn't know what she was doing and she wasn't getting much out of them.
She even got Sophie to ride the little boat ride with her once. Sophie felt a little embarrassed, but she did it anyway.
We left there and headed to the skating rink. We had been once before and Molly was too little to even put on a pair of skates. This time she was so excited about skating. They had these little contraptions you could rent that kept you from falling down so much. We found one for Molly. I think Larry liked it a lot.
Sophie brought her rollerblades from home, but realized when we got there that they no longer fit. (She's going through a big growth spurt right now.) So we got her some roller skates and off she went.
Molly got aggravated because she didn't want to have to hold on to the push thing. She wanted to do it all by herself. And by darn by the time we left there she was skating all by herself!!!
We all skated and had a great time!! Sadie hated that she missed it because she loves to go skating. She is a busy girl right now and had a lot going on that weekend. I see another skating trip in our future. Maybe she can make the next one.
So then Monday was her real birthday. She could hardly stand herself! She was five kinds of wound up!! I made her suffer and wait until we got home to open presents because I wanted Sadie to be there too and she was at work.
We let Molly pick where to go eat for her birthday dinner. She picked Western Sizzlin first, of course, but it was closed on Mondays. So Pablanos it was!
Then she finally got to open presents!!!
and have cake!!!
and blow out candles!!!
I kept trying to tell her I didn't want her to be four and I wanted her to stay three. She wouldn't buy it. She kept saying, "I have to grow up Momma so I can be five and go to school and ride the school bus!"
So there it is. She will not stay three and all my babies are not babies any more.
