This was Sadie's first time to go to Super Summer.  It is held every year at OBU through the Baptist Convention.  She wanted to go last year but had too much going on.  This summer isn't any easier as far as schedule goes, but I couldn't say no this time.  We made it work.

She left while we were gone to work, so this was on the bar when we got home.  We love little notes at our house!!

I got this picture when she arrived that let me know that she made it safely.  This was the only picture that I got from her the whole week.

In fact, I texted her one night just to make sure she was still okay.  She let me know she was having a good time and I didn't hear from her again until the morning they were coming home.

Thank God for Facebook!!.  Laura and Michael were posting pictures so I got to see their happenings and have some for her memory book.

I'm not sure what this next picture was about....but I'm pretty sure that Michael and Laura were trying to take a picture with just Cameron and Sadie kept photobombing.  She is really good at that.  I am almost there when I look at this picture.

These girls are all from home.  They roomed together.  I think they all got a little closer and all had a good time.

Closer literally too....

The kids were split into groups and the group was assigned a color.  Sadie's group was yellow.  I went to Walmart and bought her lots of yellow because she didn't have any.  The funny thing is that I spent money on yellow things that I know she will never wear again and I have no idea where she got that Steelers shirt because I didn't buy that!

Cameron was in the Camo group.  The different groups had different lessons and competed in many things with the other groups.  Sadie said her group (yellow) was the best even though they didn't win an award in anything.

Apparently this was sometime during rec.  Sadie said rec mostly involved water each time and they got filthy eat time.

Apparently this was before the Bible study.  I don't remember anything about gangsters in Jerusalem.

Sadie said that they had awesome speakers and cool music.  She said that she learned and loved that is was okay to rock out to Jesus.

I'm telling you that I am having to make up most of the captions for these pictures because Sadie sent me none.  But I thought this one was pretty cute.

She did tell me that she had a really good time and she was so glad that she got to go this year.  She said that she learned a lot and a lot stuck with her.  She is a bright shining star and she is continuing to grow in her faith.  She teaches me a lot and I am very proud of the person she is and what God is doing with her.

On Sunday evening, some of the youth spoke at church about their experience at Super Summer.  Sadie did an excellent job.  She is a great speaker and seems to do it with ease.

This Thursday this group, most of the same kids, are going to Cleveland, Ohio on a mission trip.  For those who pray, please pray for this group for the safety and guidance to carry out their mission and spread the word of Jesus.

For those of you who don't pray, you need to start.  Prayer is a powerful thing!!
