Sophie played her last league game this week. We still have the jamboree next week, then it's over until next year. It really didn't last very long.
She is sad it's over. I'm a little sad that it's over that fast.
I am super proud of her. This being her first year.
She has improved so much from the first practice until now.
I am so glad that she likes it and I really hope she sticks with it.
Right now, she is saying that she doesn't want to try out for cheer. She only wants to play basketball and golf.
We will see.
They lost 3 games. Two of those games were to the same team. They were a tough little team. The other game they lost was close. There was one point difference. Sophie is still convinced that they won. We have all told her that they didn't. She refuses to believe it.
She is still pretty unsure of herself on offense. She is extremely better and will dribble the ball and try to shoot when she can.
But she really surprises me on defense. She is way more aggressive than I ever dreamed she would be. She is not afraid to get in there. She has made many many steals. And has had a few fouls. For someone who is as timid as she is, she really comes alive out there.
I look forward to the tournament and I hope I can get her to practice this summer so she will be even more comfortable next year.
