Our AWANAs program is over for the year.  It was a good year.  These girls got lots of awards for finishing their books.

They really enjoyed it and looked forward to it each week.  

It's hard to explain to Molly why we aren't going every Wednesday now.  

Larry has been turkey hunting alot this year.  It seems like more than usual to me.  Maybe I'm wrong.  He and Sophie went the first weekend and didn't have any luck.  He went to his usual spots and with his usual hunting buddies and still had no luck.

He even loaded up and went to Missouri hunting with a group of guys, and all five of them didn't have any luck.

But when he got back home, he gave it another shot and came home with a turkey.  He was so excited about it.  He went by Mrs. Verna's and showed Molly.  Molly was a little impressed.  Sophie was a little mad because she didn't get one this year.  And since she didn't get one, she didn't want him to get one.  What made it worse was this particular morning, Larry was going to let Sophie skip school to go hunting with him.  She decided she didn't want to get up that early that morning and went to school.  She missed out on the kill.

Then before the season ended in Missouri (the following week) Larry loaded up and took my friend, Allen, hunting.  They came home with three birds this time.  That ended his season very nicely.  I really think they had a pretty good time too.

Other than all that stuff, we have been enjoying the nice weather.  Hanging out.  Being Silly.

Eating out way too much.  But with good company.

And trying to rest up.  With the days longer, we play much much harder!!
