So proud of my little Sophie.  She and Madison helped Mrs. Verna with a fundraiser for the soup kitchen the other night.  They took orders and waitressed at The Cove from 4:00 to 8:00.  Sophie loved it.  She was so tired when she got home.

Sadie and her college is stressing me out.  It shouldn't be stressing me out, but it is.  If you look at the pictures of Sadie at college, it looks like she is having the time of her life.  If you ask Sadie about college, she says she hates college.  She is definitely having to study and I know she doesn't like that part about it.  She stays busy, but has a mandatory nap every day.

The funny thing is, Sophie had a test that she had been studying for about a week.  I couldn't wait until she got home to ask her about it.  So we get home and I say, "How did your test go?"  She said, "Good."
That was it.
I said, "Did you do good?"  She said, "We didn't get it back."
That was it.
I said, "Did you feel good about it?"  She said, "I guess."
That was it.  That is all I ever get with Sophie.

So then the very next day, Sadie tells me that she is going in to take her first college test and wants me to wish her luck.  She got out of class and texted me and said she was done.  I asked, "How was it?"
This is Sadie's reply:   "It was 50 questions, each worth 2 points, OR you could write an essay and make that worth 50 points and the questions only 1 point a piece, but I didn't want to do the essay.  The first page was 20 points and it was filling in the time - that I studied really good last night so I had that!  Then there was like 10 short answer and some of those were tricky.  Then 10ish matching and I think I did most of those right.  Then 10 multiple choice which I could at least guess on.  Before I turned it in, I went through and checked and there was 56 points that I was absolutely positive that I got.  Then another 23 points that I was like 'I could almost bet this is right.'  So if all else fails I'm feeling at least a 79.  But I'm a good guesser so there's a couple extra maybe AND I didn't count the ones that I was like 'eh kinda but I'm not sure enough to put money on'."

I don't know if it is the difference in their age or their personality.... but totally different.

We are doing AWANAs again this year.  I really didn't want to teach this year.  I told the truth when they asked me so they put Larry and me together teaching a class so we can take turns if we want.  It makes it easier for us.  We got 1st grade boys.  There are only 3 in there right now and they are fun.  Larry does a good job and the boys like him.  So, I mostly don't do very much which kinda makes me feel bad.

Sadie sent me this picture of her scorp.  Apparently she is the only one on the squad that can do one and all the girls think it's cool.  Sadie is also learning how to partner stunt since these boys decided to cheer.  She said it was really cool and neat to be learning something different.
