These girls love it too. First was the Christmas parade. This is the first year that Sophie (and Molly for that matter) had been IN the parade. Sophie has always gone with me and helped me direct traffic and catch candy. This year she rode the float and threw candy.
She enjoyed it.
Molly wanted to wear her Santa dress. I knew it was going to be cold, but I let her anyway. I just put stuff under it and over it and you couldn't even tell she had on a Santa dress after about 20 minutes. She was happy. I was happy. Win. Win.
Sophie told me that Molly sat by Carter most of the ride until she got mad at him for taking her Santa hat. She ditched him shortly after and went to sit by Sophie.
Next was the AWANAs Christmas story. We did a short little visual story for the little ones about baby Jesus. Larry and I got volunteered to be Mary and Joseph. That really tickled Molly. She couldn't stop grinning.
Sadie was in the Christmas parade in Arkadelphia. I didn't get invited but probably couldn't have gone anyway.
Then I had a cool surprise at work one day. Mom and Trisha surprised me with a quick lunch date in celebration of my birthday. I was majorly surprised and then I was majorly cracked up when we tried to take a selfie.
Next was Christmas Contata, pictures later.
Then was the work Christmas party. Sadie even came home that night and we all went to the party.
Most days I feel blessed to be a part of this crew. We had a fun little game of Dirty Santa and some good finger foods.
These are not all the kids, but the ones that came to the party. Actually...all of these belong to only 4 of us. There are a whole lot of blessings right there!
All these really just hit at the same time. I think all the festivities have died down for now and I can rest for a few days.
