Molly has lost two teeth. The tooth fairy has come through so far. She brought $3 for the first tooth and $4 for the second one. Mrs. Verna got to pull both teeth. I'm not sure how I am feeling about that still.
Larry and Sophie have been hunting several times. I think this is the most Sophie has gone. She has killed 2 deer again this year. Larry has killed 0.
Molly had a play date with Carter. He came over after church one day and rode bicycles and played for a while. Molly loves Carter. Carter loves Molly.
Later that night, his mother sent me this that Carter had drawn. I got a little worried for just 2 seconds. Then I asked Molly how Carter would know that she likes kisses. She said, "Ewww gross!! I am never kissing a boy!"
We put up Christmas trees even before December this year. There is a total of 6 Christmas trees in our house. Larry thinks I have gone nuts.
I am still trying to pick around sometimes on my guitar. It has been a year that I have had it. I guess I have learned alot in a year. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Then again, somedays I feel like a rockstar.
My little mini me soaks it all in too. It is hard to practice anything when she is around, but she sure is cute
When Sadie was home for Thanksgiving we all went to eat and to see a movie. We saw the new Disney princess movie "Moana" because Sadie thinks she is a Disney Princess and Molly and Sophie had been wanting to see it for a while.
Then we also took Sadie to her favorite Mexican place to eat lunch after church. We were trying to be extra nice to her so she would come home more often. (LOL)
Sophie has been trying to learn how to cross stitch. It's a very good winter project. She is getting the hang of it and doing a good job.
Molly got her a project too. I can't remember what this is called but it makes pot holders. These have been around forever and Molly actually loves it... right now anyway. I remember making these when I was young.
They got these project sets because they got to where they were arguing all the day. It was driving me insane. I don't know if it's because it is cold and they are cooped up in the house too much or what. They were being ugly to each other and arguing over every little thing.
So.
I started a sister challenge. The challenge was that you get "sister points" for being a good sister. It can be for pretty much anything from saying something sweet - to well, really anything that is good and positive. You can also get your sister points taken away if you are being ugly or not sharing or calling names or pretty much anything that is negative. Then at the end of the challenge whoever has the most points gets a prize.
The first challenge they did was awful. So I took all of their points away that they had gotten and cancelled the challenge and told them that I would just start whipping them when they were ugly if they didn't want to get along. They wanted to try the challenge again and we did.
The second challenge went good. They love competition so they were really getting into the challenge and going above and beyond. So I treated them both with a prize. It has really helped alot and I am hoping that it will form a habit and I will not have to whip them as much. They love getting sister points. We will see how it goes for a while.
I should have told Larry to call this a good sister prize but I didn't think about it in time. He treated them to donuts before school one morning. They thought that was pretty cool!
Just for an example....this is what it looks like when I say the words, "Sister Points." It's working.
