She went back for the new year and new semester and has been busy since. I haven't seen her since she left for school.
As soon as she got back it was rush week. I don't know what all that entails, but I know it was fun, stressful, tiring, and crazy.
She still had time for cheer practices but that was about it. I kept telling her that I thought she had joined a cult because they were controlling every minute of her day.
I still have millions of questions to ask her. I still don't have much understanding at all about how that stuff works.
I do know that she got her invitation to the club that she was interested in. So that's good.
I know that there were lots of parties and events and dressing up. She did tell me that she had blisters on her feet.
I think the candidates (for lack of a better word) were catered to during rush week and it was exciting and fun for the most part.
I know that Sadie bid EEE on bid day on Saturday.
I know that their colors are red.
I know that the sun was shining that day.
I know that you aren't supposed to put pictures of girls in their EEE shirts on Facebook the week of pledge week. Even if said girl was wearing the shirt before she should have been and said girl sent that picture to you. It doesn't even matter if it was said girl's birthday. That apparently is a no-no.
I know that you can make the letter "e" with your own two hands if you hold them in "c" shapes and place them just right together. Apparently this takes a little practice.
That's all I really know about rushing, pledging, and all the things that have happened during those two weeks. Oh, and I didn't even get to see Sadie on her birthday! For eighteen years I have spent January 23rd with her. She turned 19 and I guess she thinks she is grown already.
