Snow doesn't happen very often here. So we take advantage of it when it does. Thursday night, they were calling for a little snow during the night with not much accumulation. When Molly heard that, she started praying, in song, to God for snow. When we woke up the next morning (Jan 6) it had, in fact, snowed a little tiny bit. You could only tell it on the roofs of the houses as we drove to Ms. Verna's. Molly didn't care how much it was. She was just glad it snowed.
I went on to work. Molly was at Verna's. Sadie and Sophie were asleep in the bed when we left. Then at about 10:00am, we started getting snow again. By 2:00 I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to get Molly took her home so she could play in the snow.
Sadie had her college friend, Markie, over to spend the night and they, and Sophie, said it was too cold to go and play out in the snow. So they all stayed inside and played board games.
There wasn't much to play in, but it was white, cold, and wet and Molly was having a blast!
We stayed outside close to an hour in the snow.
I even lasted longer than Larry.
Molly was determined to make a snowman. The snow was too powdery to even pack, so she drew a snowman on the table.
The following day, Terry and Becky came down with Raylee and Ryker and asked Molly to go with them sledding.
They even built a tiny little snowman.
They had super fun and Molly ended up sick. It could have nothing to do with playing out in the cold for two days. Or it could have everything to do with it!! According to Molly though, it was totally worth it. She said she was playing in the snow next time even if she got sick again. SHE LOVES IT.
