We brought our fishing to the next level. We have been pond fishing since late February off and on. It has picked up lately. Well honestly we have been going alot. So much that the laundry is suffering and you can write your name in the dust on the tv stand in every room in the house.
We decided to try a little boat fishing because this time of the year the banks are grown up and you can't get around most of them. We used the community flat bottom boat at the country club.
We have pretty much burned the kids out from fishing three or four times a week lately. They were pretty much over it.
That is until Molly heard that we were in a boat. That sparked her interest again.
So we took her with us the other morning and she loved it!
We caught some fish and we saw the alligator. Molly really liked that!
I'm glad Sophie wanted to stay home because she would have really freaked out if she had been there when the gator came up.
We took a break and decided to go to Walmart and stock up on some baits.
Even though I don't know what I'm buying, I really like to pick out my own baits. It makes me feel like I'm doing something.
Molly wanted to go swimming a little while so we dropped her off at the pool while we were gone with Sadie and Sophie.
Sadie sent me this picture while we were at Walmart. She had been there maybe 15 minutes.
After we stocked up, we went back home to see if the girls wanted to go to another pond with us. Sadie couldn't leave the pool. The other two didn't want to leave the pool.
So Larry and I were off to do some fishing!
This pond was good fishing.
The weather was perfect and the fish were healthy.
Larry let the biggest fish get away. He had it on and lost it at the boat. I saw him when he jumped out of the water and he looked HUGE!! If we went by Molly's rule, he would have won the biggest fish. Her rule is that if you get the fish on the line, it counts.
He did win the smallest fish catch of the day.
The view was beautiful. I loved the reflection of the clouds in the water.
The next afternoon, we hit the pond at the country club again.
Beautiful weather. Good clean fun.
Good times!
