Halloween was a success. We were a little scared of rain, but the rain held off and we were able to get some trick or treating done.
The hunt for the perfect costume gets harder every year. Molly didn't like any of the suggestions that I threw out. She kept mentioning costumes that she had already worn before and I just kept redirecting. We had finally decided on Ragedy Ann.
Sophie decided she was not going to dress up for Halloween. She loved the Red Ribbon Week dress up days, but Halloween is for little kids.
One day while we were in Texarkana, we decided to go by the Halloween store and see what they had. We looked at every costume at least once. Molly then narrowed down her favorites and we went to try them on.
She finally settled on the pirate.
We went trick or treating at the city park, where Molly won 3rd place in her division in the costume contest.
We walked the trail and visited and collected candy.
I was glad that Sophie willingly agreed to go with us. She likes looking at all the costumes.
We ran into a few of Molly's favorite friends.
This is Fiera...aka Wonder Woman. She is in Molly's class.
We also stopped by the Truck or Treat at the church. Then finished the festive night off with a few stops at some of our favorites.
In the words of Larry - "Thank God it's only one day a year."
