Spring things

Molly decided to try softball this year.  She talked us into it and Larry got talked into coaching.

She was put at catcher and after some real convincing, she actually got pretty good at it.
I'm not a softball loving mom but I enjoy watching her find her groove enough that it didn't hurt too bad.  Plus, she was really cute in her uniform!

Sadie had a little crash in Little Rock.  She was way upset but not a scratch on her.  Her little car (Michelle) didn't make it out okay.  It was totaled because of the damage to the front and back of the car from the 3 vehicle rear end.  (She was the cheese.)
We searched and searched and found her a cute little white Malibu.
She was excited it had a touch screen.

These two littles are really getting close.  Sophie tells Sadie everything and doesn't tell me anything.  It is hard for me because Sadie shared everything with me at this age.  Sophie is more to herself.  I try hard not to take it personal.  I try to let her know that I am there to listen and help give advice wherever she needs it.  Sometimes she comes to me...after she checks in with Sadie.
I hope that they always stay close and I'm glad that Sophie has Sadie to go to.

The littlest little is my shadow these days.  She is soaking everything in and is super smart.  I love them all with everything I have.

Molly decided she wanted to buy her a new bike with her own money.  She is very frugal and is a super saver.  She doesn't really have any problem saving right now because everything she needs we get for her.  She is proud of her stash and will tell everyone quick that she has more money saved up than Sophie.
She picked it out by herself and paid for it by herself.  She got a little upset at the register when she had to pay for taxes.  But she got over it fast and was beaming with pride when she pushed her new bike out of the store.

Sophie had a fun little overnight stay at Petit Jean for AC's birthday.  They went hiking and she really had a great time.  I love that there is such a big group of girls that get along.  Mostly.

I found this little super star photo and stole it.  Sadie is living her best life at college.
I hate that she is not here all the time, but I am proud of her and proud for her because she is in her element and loving it.

For book character day this year Molly decided to be Laura Ingalls.  She was super cute dressed up and got lots of compliments.  I posted on Facebook and said that I was trying to get the 'Nelly' out of her.

I have always always love Little House on the Prairie.  Molly had seen a couple of episodes and read one of the books at school and liked it.  So, we ordered the series and started from the beginning watching it.  She absolutely loves Laura...and Pa!!
