Crickets in my butt

Sophie wasn't feeling well yesterday. She went to daycare and made it through the day, but she kept saying that she had a cricket in her butt and her belly was hurting. Mrs. Verna and Mrs. Mandy thought it was hilarious and could not imagine what kind of pain a three year old could be in when she was describing the feeling of a cricket in her butt. When I got there to pick her up, the mystery was solved. [There was no cricket in her butt.]

When Sophie got up yesterday morning, she said that her back was hurting. I examined her and could not find a scratch, a bruise, or anything to put a band-aid on to remedy the problem because Band-aids fix everything with Sophie. I told Sadie that she must have slept wrong and it was sore. From there, Sadie told Sophie that she probably had a CRICK in her back and that it would get better soon. And there was born the symptom of having a cricket in your butt. Which will forever be, because I know my family, a description of a pain in the back area. This is not to be confused with "your head breaking off" when you have a headache and have to "bomit."

My children. So smart. So creative. So producing of laughs. I guess that's why they have to have imaginary friends to talk to. We just don't understand some of their language. They just can't interpret it for us to understand. I bet Sophie's imaginary friend, Donna, knows. She's a ballerina. She plays with us sometimes.

Sadie too had an imaginary friend. Only she didn't have a real name. She just called her the science teacher. And that science teacher went every where with us for a while. Then one day, she was just gone. (Weird)

PS. My photos were taken last Friday evening on the night of the brightest moon of the year. I took about 30. These were the faves.
